Maisie turned five this month! It's hard to believe our baby is growing up so fast.
She celebrated her birthday with friends at Jump N Party. The hour was filled with pure, noisy, adrenaline-filled chaos and we LOVED it!
This was good medicine...I hope Maisie doesn't outgrow this place before I do!
Happy Birthday, Maisie!

"happy birthday to you!"
this is probably the last year i will be taller than kayla!
kisses for grandma :)
We celebrated Kayla's 13th birthday on Sunday. We had a party at the house for the family. Then we went out to the Harvest Festival at Greenbluff and dinner at Golden Corral (but I don't have pictures of this because of the untimely death of our camera!) We love our Kayla and had a great day celebrating her birthday!

We had a great time celebrating Christian's 40th last weekend. Christian brings so much laughter into our lives, works hard to provide well for our family and I am so thankful for the blessing he is to our family.

It all started with a good fish taco recipe. Christian took a bite, looked at me and said, "Let's make these for everyone at the lake this summer." Before I knew it our neighbors in camp bay were excited to have a fiesta. Everyone brought a little something and our little fish taco fiesta went long into the night.
We had so much fun...we're already talking about the 2nd annual camp bay fiesta!

It's hard to believe that it's that time of year again! Zac started his freshman year of High School and is adjusting to all that goes with it, including leaving the house by 7:15 every morning. Yawn.
Kayla started her first year of Middle School and is getting the hang of having six different teachers and classrooms, and lots of new friends from other schools.
Maisie started four year old preschool today and was reunited with her teacher and friends from last year.
It's been an eventful week and we're looking forward to another great school year!

Kayla got her braces on this morning! She's waited patiently while we saved enough for the precious metal, her only request being that she could have them put on during summer so she can get used to them before school starts.
Oh, how I wanted to take pictures of the process, her mouth stretched open for all of Washington state to see, as the saliva-sucking tubes slurped about. But, I love my daughter, so I will respect her wishes to leave those details out.
She opted for blue and black decorations in honor of her soccer team colors. I love it and think she looks beautiful as always! We'll be celebrating in about 18 months with an oo-ey-gooey party full of all the treats on the "do not eat" list.
