WOW, what a great weekend we had in Portland. There were so many things we enjoyed about the weekend. Just having time away together was so much fun. We spent a lot of time talking, shopping, eating out, and then...there was the Revolve Tour.....
What an amazing conference. We came away learning so much from it. From Mom's perspective, one of the speakers I appreciated: Jenna Lucado (Max Lucado's daugher) talked about the importance of being a "Daddy's girl." The word "Abba" that describes God is the equivalent to our word for Daddy. We all were created to love Him and be loved by Him. She also shared that we ALL have been given just two jobs. Our first job is to love God. Our second job is to love others. Everything else is not our job! This reflects on when Jesus was asked what the most important commandments were. His reply was to first love the Lord our God with all our heart, mind, soul and strength and to love our neighbor as we love ourself.

There were so many speakers that shared valuable lessons and I learned something from each of them. I also quickly remembered how noisy teenage girls can be, as demonstrated in the You Tube video of KJ52! There was a lot of screaming....high pitched, earth shattering screaming! We had fun, both of us learned a lot, laughed a lot, and loved every minute of it. We're looking forward to attending another Revolve Tour together. After all, it's well worth the temporary hearing loss!
