We enjoyed an amazing weekend together at one of our favorite places on earth...Schweitzer Mountain (aka Switzy)!!! We splurged on a slopeside room at the Selkirk Lodge so we could have a resting place for Maisie and still take turns skiing together.
I've put skiing on hold these last few years to tend to my blessed calling of being a Mama! We're excited that Maisie is beginning to show interest in skiing too. She wants to be just like the big kids...If she had it her way, she would skip the bunny hill altogether and go straight for the big hill! She really wants to do things her way and I think it will be quite an experience to teach her! We're looking forward to many more family ski days in the years to come.
We had a great time skiing and also got to visit with family. Jana, Braden and Colton were visiting from Utah for a ski weekend with Grandpa Bitton and Ann. It was great to catch up with everyone on the mountain.
There was so much snow to enjoy and I loved being able to ski with Christian and our kids again. It brought back lots of fun memories of past ski seasons, but some things have changed. The kids can out-ski me, any slope, any time!
A refreshing way to end a day of skiing....Swimming in the heated pool among snow covered trees and 20 degree weather! It felt great!
"Look out Bunny hill...here I come!"

Daddy and Maisie going down the Bunny hill. Whew! This was hard work! Hot chocolate, anyone?

KK and Mama after taking some runs.

Zac has become an amazing skier! I couldn't believe how fast he got going while doing this trick. I was trying to catch up to get a better picture but he left me in his (snow) dust!

KK getting ready to show how it's done. She's quite an adventurous one...going over jumps and "bombing" it like her brother. I thought it was cute that she kept looking over her shoulder, making sure she wasn't out of my sight!

Venturing down the cat track...one of the few times Mom was in the lead!
