We had a blast celebrating Kayla's 12th birthday yesterday! She invited her whole soccer team over for a party at our house. Much like last year, it was a fun filled party with lots of wild and crazy girls. Kayla and Mama planned out the party together... The first order of business was to bake Kayla's favorite German Chocolate Cake.
They bobbed for apples. It wasn't like last year when only Naomi was able to successfully bite one (without cheating) The girls coached each other and stuck with it until they got one! Brrrrr.
Then it was time to come inside and warm up with some pizza and soda. It's amazing how much pizza those girls put away!
The girls kept busy playing all sorts of games. I think their favorite thing was good old fashioned hide and seek throughout the house. They also had a scavenger hunt. Kayla and Mama learned a lesson on that one...We'll have to make it more complicated next year!
"Happy Birthday to you..."
Kayla loved and appreciated each present.
Of course we couldn't have a soccer party without having a soccer game. We walked over to the school and the girls played a game together. Without rules. Especially without "off sides" rules.
