We celebrated Maisie's birthday a few days early this year with a trip to the happiest and most insanely loud place in Spokane...that's right, Chuck E. Cheese's. Where a kid can be a kid and an adult can pray the tokens run out fast. Note to self: don't buy $30 worth of tokens next time. Maisie had the most fun on this miniature carrousel...so much fun she actually high jacked it a couple of times when there was an open spot!
Kayla got in the spirit and Zac found some games that didn't make him feel like, well, a kid!
We had a big family gathering at our house to celebrate both Maisie and Kayla's birthdays with grandmas and grandpas, aunts, uncles, cousins, and our dog, Preston, who is staring into our window and hoping for some cake. Not this time, Preston. It was fun to have a joint party for Maisie and Kayla. They are both so unique and yet have so much in common. Maisie looks up to her big sister in so many ways, from the phrases she's adopted to interest in playing soccer and riding horses. And, occasionally, giving Zac some grief.
Lastly, in celebration of Maisie's special day, I had to document this funny phase she is in. I don't know where this comes from but I'm certain it has to do with genetics on her father's side. She started making this particular face. As you can see, she kind of scrunches up her nose and looks displeased about something. The funny thing is, she was so excited in these pictures about her birthday presents and time at Chuck E. Cheese's. But you wouldn't know it, unless you knew Maisie!

Oh, man! Fortunately for us, Kellie was afraid of Chuck, so she didn't request bday parties there. But all of her friends did, so we always ended up there anyway. Um, $30 of tokens? I could have warned you. And also, very cute little piggy! I love that so much more than a princess. costume. You sewed it, right? :)
That was fun going to chuckie cheese! It was fun celebrating her birthday... especially when she got her birthday present! lol
