Christmas Traditions

The day after Thanksgiving is all about Christmas in the Rose home and this year was no exception. True to our family tradition we went out to Greenbluff to cut down a fresh tree. The hunt was on...and just like every other year, the guys found a tree within seconds of setting foot on the ground. And the girls wouldn't have it because, despite the cold and snow, we were in search of "the one." The one perfect tree, that is.

Team A was ready for the hunt

Team B was trying to talk Mom into going for a dwarf tree this year

We searched high and low

Finally found "the one." Team B was in such a huff by this time that one of it's team members who will remain un-named cut it down before I could take a picture of it in it's natural state.

Maisie was pretty enthusiastic about the snow and made a quick angel before heading inside to warm up

After a couple of candy canes and some hot chocolate, the girls really got into their decorating "zone"

Zac joined in the fun. Christian was watching a football game but made a few obligatory "oohs and aahs" to keep us in the spirit

Good job, sisters

Mission accomplished!
